Quadrilocale in Lucera

Lucera stands on the Daunian foothills above the Tavoliere plain. The Fortore basin and the first hills of the Monti Dauni are within this area, while the broad agricultural plain opens to the east. Lucera itself is the main town nearby and has a substantial historic centre and the Swabian-Angevin fortress with the Roman amphitheatre below it. The area is known for cereal farming and for the transition from the plain of Capitanata to the inland hills.
