This is the Daunian inland of western Foggia, with open cereal farmland on low rolling ground rather than a marked mountain or coastal setting. The Cervaro valley lies nearby and the Monti Dauni rise farther west, but around the village itself the landscape is mainly agricultural. Foggia is the nearest town of size, with the main rail station, hospitals, services and the airport at Gino Lisa. The area is known for wheat farming and small inland Puglian villages.
