The cluster is in the first inland hills between the Romagna plain and the Adriatic, with low ridges, fields, vineyards and patches of woodland around the Uso valley. The Rubicon valley is nearby, and the ridge village of Longiano with its castle and old centre is within this area. Cesena is the nearest larger town, with a substantial historic centre and services. This part of Romagna is known for mixed farming, wine and olive growing on the lower hills.
