Monolocale in Filettino

The cluster is in the Monti Simbruini, with Monte Viglio and the higher Simbruini ridge close by. The upper Aniene valley starts here, and the area falls inside the Parco Naturale Regionale dei Monti Simbruini. The ski slopes of Campo Staffi are above Filettino with a short mountain drive from the village. Subiaco is the nearest larger centre of daily use, with shops and services, and the area is also linked by road to Fiuggi and the eastern side of the Ciociaria hills. This part of the Simbruini is known for beech forest, karst uplands and summer walking routes, and for winter snow on the higher slopes.
