Location score 74/100The cluster sits in the central Aosta Valley with the Pennine Alps around it and steep valley sides rising directly from the Dora Baltea. The Dora Baltea runs through the valley floor here. Mont Avic Natural Park lies just to the south-east, with side valleys leading up toward Champorcher. The nearest ski lifts are in the Champorcher area, roughly 30–40 minutes by road, and larger lift systems are farther west in the main valley. The nearest larger town is Aosta, which has the full range of services and a major Roman historic centre. The valley around Montjovet is known for castles and fortified sites, including the Bard area farther down-valley, and for vineyard terraces on the sunnier slopes.
