Location score 72/100The cluster is in the lower Lys Valley under the Pennine Alps, with steep wooded slopes and side hamlets above the Dora Baltea corridor. The Lys river is the main watercourse of the valley. The Mont Avic Natural Park lies nearby on the south side of the valley, with alpine terrain and mountain lakes in the same local area. The nearest ski lifts are in the Gressoney valley, reached by road in about 35–50 minutes depending on the base station. Pont-Saint-Martin is the nearest town of size, with shops, services and the Roman bridge over the Lys. The area is part of the Walser-influenced valleys of eastern Valle d'Aosta and is known for mountain hamlets, chestnut woods and stone rural architecture.
