Pila’s ski area above Aosta is the nearest major lift network, reached in about 30–40 minutes depending on access to the gondola. Aosta is the nearest town of size and has the region’s main services together with extensive Roman remains including the Arch of Augustus, the theatre and city walls. The area is known for its alpine valley landscape, castles on slopes above the valley floor, and mountain access toward the central Valle d’Aosta side valleys.
