Location score 82/100The cluster sits in the upper Valle d'Aosta with the Mont Blanc massif close by, and the valley opens toward the high Alpine chain around Courmayeur and Pré-Saint-Didier. The Dora Baltea runs through the main valley. The area is inside the buffer of the Mont Avic region only at a much greater distance, but within 15 km the relevant protected landscape is the Valdigne and the slopes below Mont Blanc rather than a national park. La Thuile's ski lifts are the nearest major lifts, roughly 20-25 minutes by road, and Courmayeur's lifts are about 20 minutes. Courmayeur is the nearest town of note, with year-round services, motorway access, the Mont Blanc Tunnel approach, and a substantial alpine resort centre. Pré-Saint-Didier nearby has the old spa town setting and thermal baths. The wider Valdigne area is known for Mont Blanc views, alpine valleys, and winter sports infrastructure.
