Location score 88/100The cluster is in the Val d’Ayas in the Pennine Alps, with high mountains enclosing the valley on all sides. The Evançon runs through the valley. The area is close to the Monte Rosa massif at the head of the valley, one of the main alpine groups on the Italian side of the Pennine chain. Cross-country skiing is established at Brusson, and the nearest main downhill lifts are in the Champoluc–Frachey–Alpe Mandria ski area, roughly 10–15 minutes up the valley by road, with links into the Monterosa Ski domain. Saint-Vincent is the nearest larger town down-valley, with everyday services and motorway access; Aosta is the nearest provincial capital. The wider valley is known for alpine pasture, larch woodland, and winter sports.
