The Monti Sibillini National Park lies nearby to the west, with mountain roads leading up toward Montefalcone Appennino, Comunanza and then the park side of Montemonaco. The nearest larger town is Ascoli Piceno, which has a substantial historic centre and services. This part of southern Marche is known for hill villages, mixed farmland, woodland and views toward the Apennine ridge.
