Sessant

The cluster is in the built-up area of Asti, so the lived setting is an urban plain in the Tanaro valley with surrounding cultivated hills. The Tanaro river runs through the city. South and north of town, within this radius, the landscape is the vineyard and farming hills of Monferrato. Asti is a provincial capital with a substantial historic centre, services, rail connections and Romanesque and Gothic monuments, and it is known for wine, especially Asti Spumante and Moscato.
