The cluster sits in the Irpinian foothills at the western edge of the Apennines, with ridges rising immediately inland around Monteforte and Mercogliano. The Partenio Regional Park lies within this radius on the Monte Partenio massif. The nearest ski area is Campo di Laceno, well beyond the local radius and roughly an hour or more by road, so it is not part of the immediate setting. Avellino is the nearest town of size, with city services, rail connections via the wider area, and commercial zones toward the valley. The area is known for wooded mountain slopes, chestnut country, and the inland Campania hills between the Sabato valley and the road corridor toward Naples.
