The nearest ski area is Monte Elmo-Helm above Sesto, about 35–45 minutes by road; smaller local Nordic and winter facilities are closer in Comelico. Santo Stefano di Cadore is the nearest town of some size with everyday services, and Pieve di Cadore is the main larger centre in Cadore with shops and administration. This is the Cadore-Comelico area, known for alpine valleys, timber traditions and access toward the Sappada and Sesto Dolomite sectors.
