The beach and seafront of Terracina are within the local landscape, and the long coastal strip continues toward the promontory of Monte Circeo. Circeo National Park lies nearby on this coast, though its core landscapes are outside the immediate town. Terracina is a sizeable town with a port, services and a substantial historic upper town, including the Roman Temple of Jupiter Anxur above the coast.
