The nearest beaches are on the Sinis side, with long sandy stretches and low coastal dunes around Torre Grande and toward San Giovanni di Sinis. The Tirso river reaches the sea in this area. Oristano is the nearest town of size and has a compact historic centre, services, a cathedral, and the remains of medieval fortifications.
