The area around
Location score 52/100The Ligurian Apennines rise immediately inland, with wooded ridges and short valleys behind the coast. The area is tied to the Quiliano and Quazzola streams and sits a few kilometres from the Ligurian Sea around Savona and Vado Ligure. The Beigua massif and Beigua Regional Nature Park lie to the east, but outside the core 15 km landscape. Savona is the nearest town of size, with port functions, services, rail links and a historic centre around the Priamar fortress. Vado Ligure adds a commercial and industrial port on the nearby coast. The area is known locally for olive groves on the lower slopes and for the mixed coastal-hill setting typical of western Liguria.
