The Monte Inici ridge rises immediately inland above the town. The Zingaro Nature Reserve lies just west of Scopello, with a protected cliff coast and coves. The nearest larger town is Trapani, which has port services and the provincial-level amenities of a small city. This stretch of coast is known for the tuna-fishery history at Scopello and for the faraglioni there.
