Location score 86/100The cluster is on the Gulf of Castellammare on the Tyrrhenian coast. Monte Inici rises inland above the town, and the first relief of the north-west Sicilian mountains starts immediately behind the coast. The Zingaro Nature Reserve lies along the coast toward Scopello, with a cliff shoreline and coves. Segesta and its archaeological area are inland near the upper part of this gulf. Trapani is the nearest provincial city of size, with port, services and rail links, and Palermo is the larger city reached along the coast corridor. The area is known for the tuna-fishing coast around Scopello, for the sea coves of the gulf, and for access to the reserve coast between Castellammare and San Vito Lo Capo.
