The Noce river runs through the valley and Lake Santa Giustina lies by Cles. The Adamello Brenta Nature Park begins on the Brenta side of the valley. The nearest ski areas are on the Paganella side around Andalo and Fai della Paganella, roughly 30–40 minutes by road, and at Folgarida-Marilleva in Val di Sole, roughly 45–60 minutes depending on the access point. Cles is the main town of the valley and has a hospital, schools, shops and rail connection on the Trento–Malè line. The area is known for apple orchards across the Val di Non, for the Santa Giustina canyon system, and for the Sanctuary of San Romedio near Sanzeno.
