Much of the area lies inside the Stelvio National Park. The valley is known for the Rabbi thermal springs and for waterfalls and alpine pasture landscapes in the upper valley. The nearest ski lifts are at Folgarida-Marilleva in Val di Sole, roughly 30–40 minutes by road depending on the hamlet. The nearest larger town is Malè, which has the main services for lower Val di Sole.
