Location score 72/100The cluster is in the Ossola valley system at the foot of the Lepontine Alps, with steep wooded slopes and narrow valley floors within a few kilometres. The Toce river runs through the main valley near Domodossola. Domodossola is the nearest town of size, with a full railway station, services, schools and a substantial historic centre. The Val Grande National Park lies nearby to the south-east, although not at the village itself. The area is known as the entrance to the Ossola valleys, which lead toward Val Vigezzo, Valle Antrona, Val Bognanco and the Simplon route.
