The Tiber valley lies nearby to the east, and the surrounding landscape is a mix of wooded slopes, olive groves and farmed countryside. Faleria, Civita Castellana and other towns of the lower Agro Falisco are the nearest centres of some size, with shops, services and rail connections in the wider area; Rome is farther south for major services and transport.
