Location score 61/100The cluster is on the eastern side of the Roman hinterland at the foot of the Monti Tiburtini and close to the Aniene valley. The Aniene river runs nearby, and Tivoli is the nearest town of size with services and major historic sites including Villa d’Este and Hadrian’s Villa, both UNESCO. The Monti Lucretili Regional Natural Park begins a short distance to the north-west. Rome is the main city for work, rail and airports, but it does not count as a landscape feature here. The area is known for olive groves, limestone hills and the corridor from Tivoli toward the Abruzzo-facing Apennines.
