Rustico in Morlupo

The area lies on the volcanic and tuff hills north of Rome, with the Valle del Tevere to the east and Monte Soratte within about 15 km. Part of the territory around Morlupo falls in the Veio Regional Park, a protected area of ravines, woodland and archaeological sites linked to the ancient Etruscan city of Veii. The Tiber is the main river of the area, reached on the eastern side of the zone. Rome is the nearest major city and provides the full range of services and rail connections from the local line toward the capital. This part of northern Lazio is known for wooded ravines, tuff landscapes and Etruscan archaeological remains.
