The Orsiera-Rocciavrè Natural Park is nearby on the south side of the valley. The nearest ski areas are on the upper Susa Valley around Chiomonte, Sauze d'Oulx and Bardonecchia, reached by a substantial mountain-valley drive rather than from the village itself. Susa is the nearest town of size, with a Roman gate and arch, the cathedral and the hilltop Sacra di San Michele farther east above the valley.
