Location score 82/100The Cottian Alps surround Prali, at the head of the Germanasca valley. The Germanasca stream runs through the valley. The area is inside the Val Troncea Natural Park system on the upper valley side and close to the French border passes. Ski lifts are at Prali itself, with access from the village to the local ski area. Pinerolo is the nearest larger town, with secondary schools, hospital services, rail connections and the main shopping and administrative functions for the valleys. The area is known for high alpine pastures, stone hamlets, Waldensian history in the valley system, and former talc mining around the upper Germanasca valleys.
