The Gran Bosco di Salbertrand Natural Park is nearby on the valley side. The nearest ski lifts are those of Via Lattea: Sauze d’Oulx is a short drive from Oulx, and Sestriere and Claviere are also reached up the same valley. Oulx is the main service centre of this part of the valley, with rail links, motorway access, shops and everyday services, while Susa is the nearest larger historic town down-valley. The area is known for winter sports and for the road and rail route over the Montgenèvre and Fréjus corridors toward France.
