Pinerolo is the nearest substantial town and has a full set of services, a historic centre and rail links toward Turin. The nearest ski areas are in the upper Chisone valley around Pragelato and Sestriere, roughly an hour or more by road, so they are outside the immediate landscape. This part of the plain is known for mixed agriculture and for being in the orbit of Pinerolo rather than for a specific protected landscape or official tourist status.
