The Orsiera-Rocciavrè Natural Park lies just to the east of this part of the valley. The nearest ski lifts are at Pragelato and Sestriere, roughly 20–35 minutes by road depending on the hamlet. Pinerolo is the nearest larger town, with rail links, hospitals and full services. Usseaux is one of I Borghi più belli d'Italia. This area is known for alpine villages, larch woods, high pastures and the road access toward the Assietta ridge and the Fenestrelle side valleys.
