Location score 72/100The cluster is in the lower Lys Valley under the Monte Rosa side valleys, with steep alpine slopes and chestnut woods around the settlements. The Lys river runs through the valley floor. Much of the surrounding mountain area falls within the Mont Avic Natural Park on the Aosta side. The nearest ski lifts are in the Gressoney valley, roughly 25–40 minutes by road depending on the base station. The nearest town of size is Pont-Saint-Martin, with rail access, shops and daily services; Ivrea is farther south for a larger centre. This part of the valley is known for Walser-influenced alpine villages farther up the Lys valley and for stone hamlets on the slopes.
