Location score 61/100The cluster lies at the mouth of the Val Gallenca, with the first slopes of the Canavese and Graian Alps immediately above the town. The Gallenca stream runs down through the valley and the Orco valley opens a short distance to the north-west. Gran Paradiso National Park is not within the 15 km radius, but the alpine valleys of the Canavese begin very close by. The nearest larger centre is Rivarolo Canavese, which has rail links, shops and everyday services; Cuorgnè is also nearby as a local service town. The area is known in Piemonte for the Canavese foothill belt, with pre-alpine villages, woods and short valleys rising from the plain.
