The Parco naturale La Mandria is immediately adjacent, a large enclosed parkland with woodland, meadows and the former Savoy estate around the Reggia di Venaria. The Stura di Lanzo flows nearby. Venaria Reale is the nearest substantial town and has the Reggia di Venaria, part of the UNESCO World Heritage listing of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy. Turin is close for daily services, work and transport, but the cluster is outside the main built-up city. The area is known for the royal estate landscape of La Mandria and Venaria on the edge of Turin.
