Cercenasco sits on the plain between Pinerolo and Turin, at the foot of the Cottian Alps. The Chisone valley begins a short distance west around Pinerolo, with the first Alpine relief already visible within this radius. Pinerolo is the nearest town of size, with a substantial historic centre, shops, schools, hospital and rail links toward Turin. This part of the plain is known for mixed agriculture and for the line where the Torinese plain meets the Alpine foothills.
