Stabile o palazzo in Campoformido

This is the central Friuli plain south-west of Udine, with flat agricultural land crossed by local irrigation channels and minor roads. The Torre river runs a few kilometres to the east, and the Tagliamento is farther west but outside the immediate landscape. Udine is the nearest town of size, with full services, a railway station and a substantial historic centre. Palmanova, the Venetian star-fort town and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is within the wider area for daily use but outside the immediate 15 km landscape. The area is known for arable farming and vineyards of the Friuli plain.
