The nearest larger town is Formia, which has a port, rail connections and the main services for the coast. Sperlonga, within the same coastal stretch, has a historic center and Blue Flag beach status. The area is known for Itri olives and olive oil, and for the old route between Rome and Naples that passes through the hills here.
