Rustico in Spigno Saturnia

The cluster sits on the inland side of the southern Pontine area, with the Aurunci Mountains rising immediately behind and the Tyrrhenian coast around the Gulf of Gaeta a few kilometres away. The Monti Aurunci Regional Park covers much of the nearby limestone range. The nearest substantial town is Formia, which has port services, a railway station on the Rome–Naples line, and the main retail and administrative services for this stretch of coast. Gaeta is also close, with its historic fortified peninsula and beaches. This area is known for the Aurunci limestone hills, olive country, and the coastal strip between Formia and Gaeta.
