The Riu Mannu valley cuts through this area, and the coast around Santa Caterina di Pittinuri and the Sinis-facing western shore is about 15 km away. This is close to the Montiferru and Planargia area, known for springs, chestnut and oak woods, and villages with basalt-built historic centres. Cuglieri is the nearest larger hill town in the area, with services and a notable hilltop setting over the western side of Montiferru.
