Location score 60/100The cluster sits on the Campidano plain near the lower course of the Rio Mogoro and the wetlands behind the Gulf of Oristano. The Stagno di Marceddì and the Stagno di San Giovanni are within this area, with the long dune-backed beach system of Arborea and Marina di Arborea on the coast. Monte Arci rises inland to the east, a volcanic massif known for obsidian sources and Mediterranean scrub. Oristano is the nearest town of size, with a historic centre, cathedral and full services. This part of the province is known for fishing lagoons, flat reclaimed farmland and the Nuragic site of Tharros farther out on the Sinis peninsula.
