Rustico in Padova

This is in the built-up area of Padova, on the central Veneto plain crossed by the Bacchiglione and close to the Brenta system. The nearest larger natural feature is the Euganean Hills regional park southwest of the city, but it lies outside the immediate urban surroundings. Padova itself is a major provincial capital with a large historic centre, the Basilica of Saint Anthony, the Scrovegni Chapel and the university. The city has UNESCO status for the fourteenth-century fresco cycles. The area is known for its dense urban fabric, canals and rivers, and for being part of the settled plain between Venice and Vicenza.
