The Adige river runs a few kilometres to the south and west. Monselice is the nearest town of some size, with a walled hill, a castle complex and rail services, at roughly 15 km. Este, also around that range, has a historic centre and the Carrarese castle. The Euganean Hills are beyond the immediate area to the north-west, visible in clear conditions but outside the local 15 km landscape. The area is known for arable farming and small plain settlements.
