Location score 72/100The cluster is in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, on the Cisa pass route between the upper Taro valley and Tuscany. The Taro river valley is the main landscape feature here. Much of the area around Berceto lies within the Parco Nazionale dell'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano. The nearest ski area is Schia on Monte Caio, roughly an hour's drive, with larger Abetone farther away in Tuscany. The nearest larger town is Parma, which provides the full range of services, rail connections and major historic monuments. Berceto itself is known for its Romanesque cathedral and for the Via Francigena crossing the pass.
