Soffitta in Pescara

This is inside the built-up coastal city of Pescara on the Adriatic. The area is on the mouth of the River Pescara and includes the urban seafront. The nearest larger natural feature is the Adriatic coast itself, but here it is in a city setting rather than an isolated coastal landscape. Pescara is a regional service centre with rail links, port, university facilities, shopping and the airport serving Abruzzo. The city is known for its beach economy and as the birthplace of Gabriele d’Annunzio.
