The area sits on the lower hills between the Adriatic coast and the Abruzzo Apennine foothills, with a landscape of cultivated ridges, olive groves and scattered villages. The Fino River valley is nearby, and the Saline river system is also part of the local drainage toward the coast. Montesilvano and Pescara are the nearest larger urban centres, with full services, rail links, hospitals and the airport. The Gran Sasso massif is visible in the wider regional backdrop on clear days but it is outside the immediate 15 km landscape. This part of inland Pescara province is known for olive growing and mixed farming.
