The Arda valley is the main local landform. Within about 15 km are the castle villages of Vigoleno and Castell’Arquato, both with preserved medieval centres; Vigoleno is in the Borghi più belli d’Italia list. The area is known for vineyards and for the upper Val d’Arda around the Veleia zone.
