Villa a schiera in Budoia

The cluster sits at the foot of the Friulian Prealps, with the Cansiglio plateau and the first ridges of the Alpago-Cansiglio area within this radius. The Livenza rises at the Gorgazzo spring in the Polcenigo area nearby, and there are other karst springs and resurgences on the plain at the base of the mountains. Part of the area falls in the foothill belt around the Parco Rurale di San Floriano. The nearest substantial town is Pordenone, which provides the main services, rail links and larger retail. Polcenigo nearby is listed among I Borghi più belli d’Italia. This area is known for the transition from Venetian-Friulian plain to wooded limestone foothills, for springs, and for access up toward the Cansiglio forest.
