Rudere con ampio terreno

This is the flat lower plain around Ravenna, between reclaimed farmland and the Adriatic coast. The coastal belt within reach includes the long sandy shore at Marina di Ravenna and Punta Marina and the pinewoods of the Parco Regionale del Delta del Po, with wetlands, canals and lagoons toward the Comacchio side. Ravenna itself is a provincial capital with extensive services and a major group of early Christian monuments inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The area is also known for mosaics and for port and industrial infrastructure around the coast.
