The cluster lies in the Po Delta plain, with canals, embankments and reclaimed farmland around the branches of the Po. The Po di Goro and Po di Venezia are the defining waterways of this part of the delta. The Po Delta Regional Park extends through the surrounding area, with wetlands, fishing valleys and lagoon environments toward the coast. Ariano and the nearby delta settlements are known for rice cultivation and other reclaimed-land agriculture, and for fishing and aquaculture closer to the lagoons. Adria is the nearest larger town with daily services, rail links and a historic center.
