The cluster lies in the Po Delta, with canals, embankments, reclaimed farmland and lagoon-edge landscapes around the lower Po. The Po di Venezia and other branches of the river system are part of daily geography here, and the Adriatic coast and lagoon environments of the Delta are close by. Much of the surrounding area falls within the Parco Regionale Veneto del Delta del Po, a protected wetland area of river mouths, sandbanks, fishing valleys and bird habitats. Adria is the nearest larger town with everyday services and rail connections. The area is known for delta fisheries, aquaculture and rice and arable farming on reclaimed land.
