The cluster is in the Po Delta, with flat reclaimed land, canals and branches of the Po including the Po di Venezia and Po di Maistra in the wider area. The Parco Regionale Veneto del Delta del Po lies here, with lagoons, sandbars, pine woods and fishing valleys around Porto Levante, Boccasette and the delta mouths within roughly the local radius. The Adriatic coast is immediately nearby, with long barrier beaches and dune environments at places such as Barricata and Boccasette. Chioggia is the nearest town of size in daily reach, with a working fishing port and a historic centre on the lagoon. The area is known for wetland birdlife, fishing, clam and mussel farming, and rice and other agriculture on reclaimed land.
