Teglio sits on the terraced slope above the valley and this part of Valtellina is known for stone-built hill villages, vineyard terraces and alpine views. The nearest ski area is Aprica, about 20 minutes by road, with larger skiing at Chiesa in Valmalenco farther up the valley.
